Landon owns and operates Plagge Farms, Inc., a century farm in North Central Iowa. He has spent the last 30 years learning different agricultural and business practices to build a sustainable and profitable operation; including hands-on experience farming in Australia and obtaining a business administration degree. On the farm Landon has worked to implement sustainable practices, such as cover crops, that conserve and protect the world’s best soil, while reducing the carbon footprint associated with feeding the population. Together with his wife, Dr. Anne Plagge, Landon founded Green Acres Seed Co., a cover crop seeding company. They specialize in growing oats that are sourced domestically for human consumption, as well as creating seed blends that protect soil and build futures in farming for the next generation.
